A Message From the Executive Director - It is an honor to serve as the Executive Director of the Emergency Aid Association. I am humbled and inspired by the visionaries who founded such a unique organization and dedicated themselves to its cause over 100 years ago. Their determination and passion to care for all Suffield residents has left a legacy that lives on today: a rich tradition of caring and concern for our neighbors in need that has become a way of life in Suffield. An organization like the EAA is a rarity. I know of no other community that can boast a private non-profit agency dedicated to the well-being of its residents and supported solely through the generosity of its residents.
To the people of Suffield, those who have lived here their entire lives and those who are still “new” ten years later, you are critical to enabling us to fulfill our goal. This wonderful community has demonstrated a compassion that distinguishes us as a community that truly cares. The generosity of the many individuals, families, businesses, churches, schools, civic and town organizations drive our programs now as they did 100 years ago - and provide for an enriched level of service that otherwise would not be possible. To all those who served before, serve now or will serve the Emergency Aid Association in the future, we are eternally grateful.
